Notes
- Sterilize temperature ≤ 135 °C (Improved type ≤ 155 °C ), if the temperature is over 135 °C, the motor will be damaged.
- Normal bone drill can only hold drill bits less than 6mm, acetabulum reaming drill with big torque, rpm is around 300, canulate drill is used with nail or K wire, rpm is around 600.
- The battery need to be get out of the power tool after surgery. Otherwise the small automatic discharge of the electric will make the life of the battery short.
- The battery cannot be sterilized, it is not autoclavable.
- The cranial bur must be washed right after the surgery by purger in order to avoid the blood stick in the bur, then we should make it dry.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the recommended sterilization temperature for the power tools?
The sterilize temperature should be ≤ 135 °C (or ≤ 155 °C for the improved types). Exceeding 135 °C may damage the motor system.
Can the battery pack be autoclaved or sterilized?
No, the battery pack cannot be sterilized and is not autoclavable. It must be safely removed from the tool handpiece after surgery.
Why is it necessary to remove the battery immediately after surgery?
Removing the battery prevents automatic micro-discharges, which can otherwise significantly shorten the overall lifespan of the battery.
What are the drill bit limits and speed ranges for the drills?
Normal bone drills support drill bits under 6mm. Acetabulum reaming drills operate with high torque at around 300 rpm, and cannulated drills run at approximately 600 rpm.
How should the cranial bur and battery compartment be maintained?
Wash the cranial bur immediately after surgery to avoid blood residue, then dry it completely. Ensure that the battery compartment in the handpiece remains entirely dry after sterilization.
